And we’re off
It has indeed been quite some time since I’ve written in this blog at all. There are several good, and wholly boring reasons for my lack of perspicacious dialogue (yeah right) in the last month or so, but suffice it to say that I’ve been working really hard, playing really hard, and sleeping even harder. There just hasn’t been the time or energy for blogging. However, I am now sitting in the San Francisco airport about to embark on my yearly ski trip with the former Texas Skiing Addicts to Winter Park, Colorado, our favorite skiing destination. We are booked for seven nights and six full days skiing in this winter wonderland with lodging at the majestic Zephyr Mountain Lodge which is opportunistically situated just over 100 feet from the main ski lift at the Winter Park base area. We have a really large group coming along this year, including some of the usual suspects: Chris, Andy, Larry, Jason, Emily, and Clark, and a group of newcomers: Darla, Kuan, Michelle, Thomas, Billy, and Justin. All in all, we have 13 people joining the gathering, the largest number yet! Anyway, this should be an amazing trip and we’re all so excited to enjoy the pure beauty of Fraiser Valley, the adrenaline rush that is skiing on fresh Colorado snow, and the comradery that comes with spending a week in the snow, sun, and hot tubs with a group of people as awesome as this one. I’ll be cataloging the journey this year in my blog and will hopefully put in at least one entry per day. I know I’ve said things like this before, but since I’m on vacation, I should have plenty of time to get some entries put in.
See you on the mountain!
